Billy as Zeo Ranger II: Yellow?

Now, I read an online interview with Karan Ashley Jackson (Aisha Campbell), and she said that when she gave her notice, once the MMAR mini-series was over, her character was supposed to get a 10 episode write-off arc just like Kimberly/Amy Jo Johnson. This leads me to believe that the production staff was going to have 10 more episodes of MMPR after MMAR, but before PRZ, now, with that being the case, when Tommy sliced it into 5 sub-crystals with Saba, Yellow was Billy's. If they had continued with what I presume was the original plan, and have at least 10 more MMPR episodes, and written Aisha out of the show in a better way, would you have liked it if Billy would've became the Yellow Zeo Ranger, instead of stepping down ang giving his powers to Tanya?

No for me. I think billy been the mature but cool helper in the command centre gave him more character development. Had he of become yellow it would just be like adam , rocky and tommy getting new colours. With out it he became something else and it was a change I loved.

Billy should not have ever been in the running for yellow. I think that there original plan was always to make Billy the "helping guy". But season 3 only had 42 episodes, when Zeo had 50, season 1 had 60, and season 2 had 52. It is clear something went wrong with the number of episodes.

Ok, here's a new question then, how would you have written Aisha out of the show, but in the way the original agreement was on a 10 episode arc for her, but still having Tanya replace her, and having Billy step down in the PRZ two-parter premiere?

I would say no on the sole account of the fact that OhYellow's costume had a skirt. You can take a male sentei Ranger and turn them female, but it does not work both ways, especially if the girls have skirts. It would have made the target audience ask questions better left alone.

No and there is no way they would have made him the Yellow ranger since she had a skirt I believe. And back then when you had groups of 5 you always had 2 females. One who would be yellow no matter what.

Billy had been the Blue MMPR Ranger for three whole seasons, longest Ranger to ever serve the same Ranger power. Present in every single episode up to that point. He even mentored the Rangers when they were children.

Kat, Aisha, Rocky and Adam were all post-transfers, meaning they shared their Ranger titles with their previous holders.

Tommy's two MMPR powers were both divided up for run-time during the three seasons.

I think, IMO, Billy had done enough. He would never suit yellow.

Also, I don't see Billy in a skirt lol.

All they would've had to do to make Billy the Yellow Ranger is make their own footage, like they did in Seasons 2 and 3 (minus the White Ranger solo battles in Season 2, and the Aquitian Ranger battles in Season 3), then use the Sentai mecha/zord fights.

Kill her off. Not because I hate her because I don't I loved the character. But had she of met Tanya when she grew up and died saving her it could make the show very diffrent and moved in a diffrent direction. Tanya would be a diffrent character not a Aisha clone but a ranger who felt guilty over the death and feels like she never really deserved them.

Then Zeo I would have changed how it ffelt to be more of a Teen-drama like buffy or smallville. Then Turbo with the big fast cars we move on to more of an teen-adult demographic like buffy was later on or angel the show.


Then the show it's self would have grown and became so much more to the point when Dino thunder came along the show could be handled like Heroes even bring the originals not just tommy who were left back for one giant story were they had became very diffrent people.

Some like Billy would hate his ranger days (like in real life) so when he was brought back would be darker and more bad ass. His reasons for hating it would be things like been ranger cost him a normal life and maybe even a future he had always wanted.

The fact that they started to re-use the source material in all of its aspects (and not borrowing some elements like S2 and S3 did) only shows that the company wanted to cut costs. So I don't believe Saban would re-shot (almost) everything only because of a skirt.

Anyway, back then I thought that it would be cool if Billy managed to repair/rebuild his power coin/ninja power coin somehow and act like a Kat ranger (SPD), for exemple - which means he would help the rangers only sometimes (when they wanted to buy time for some purpose or for other reason).
