Has anybody ever noticed that the anniversary seasons of PR are the most disliked among fans.

Turbo (5th anniversary)
Wild Force (10th anniversary)
Operation Overdrive (15th anniversary)

If PR makes it to the big 20 would it suck or be awesome?

I don't see how Turbo is an anniversary season. It may have been the 5th season, but I've never met anyone ever say it was an anniversary season or treated as one.

I have noticed that, actually! I'm praying that when (I won't say if) we get to the 20th year anniversary, I will expect an amazing season with cameos of past Rangers. Just because. If I don't get that, I'll be highly, highly, highly disappointed, I fear.

Big anniversaries are usually always counted in "5"s in the US.

Uhm, really anything in PR with 'anniversary' slapped onto it sucks...

*Anyone remember the 500th episode disaster?

You mean the only clip show that was enjoyable? I wouldn't call that a disaster.

What was bad about it? I felt it fit the story well. At least it wasn't Austin saying "They got new suits, shiny stuff, new zords, and new villians" for each season.

That is true, but in all my years in the fandom, I've never seen anybody ever say Turbo was a anniversary season. Or even treated like one.

I dont have that high of hopes that a 20th season or 20th anniversry special would be that great, but I probably have to many high hopes for something like that. We would probably get Disney PR cameos. But I would want cameos from some MMPR-LG/TF rangers. Some that we havent seen in awhile. Plus a good story.

We will only get rangers of the last 5 seasons(14-19) if it is still Disney's, unless Disney changes the way they make the show.

I have to clear this up.Yes shows go by five year marks. But they don't go by the first five, they aren't use to celebrate. Most shows here tend to go to a fifth season.Ten is the true benchmark for a shows longevity.

It may have been a while since i've seen Turbo, but i'm really hard pressed to remember their being anykind of anniversiry episode. The seasons before and after Turbo had more momerable moments.
Zeo-Billys leaving,Jasons temporary return,the first team up.Don't let LG/IS fool you.
Turbo-...............
In Space-End of the Zordon era.Thats all you need for that season.

Turbo's season started with a movie, lets call it somthing special(not much else). Plus Saban was trying to get back to MMPR's super high popularity.

What the hell?

How can you say something will suck when you haven't got any indication AT ALL at what the season will be like, or what will happen in the episode, yet at all?

Kinda a bit silly really. Just saying.

The 5th and the 15th both sucked, for completely different and seperate reasons. 10th didn't suck, it was entertaining, it had a few unexplained concepts, but it was a teamup designed specifically to entertain for the anniversary.

The 10th anniversary wasn't too bad, I liked the fact that we got to see Tommy and Jason in the mix, the other ones I didn't care.

The 15th anniversary, they brought one from original PR and the rest from the latest series. They could've mixed it together and I hated how they changed Adam's morphing sequence. It was like the original stuff was gone.

I actually didn't mind Adam's new sequence, the old morph would have looked largely outdated next to the others anyway.

It's everything else I didn't like.

Almost all PR fans hated Turbo because of Justin who was a kid as a ranger. Although, there are a few dozens Turbo fans that didn't mind it.

As for the anniversary season every 5 years. There was no anniversary episode in Turbo...WF and OO were the first ones to have an anniversary episode.

So yeah, we would get rangers from the past 5 seasons every 5 years...we get 4 rangers from the past 4 seasons before the current one and 1 (or 2 if Disney were to put a 6th ranger in it) from the Saban era. It'll probably happen like that again every 5 years.

To be fair, that wasn't the only reason.

I don't mind Turbo and Justin and passing the torch were the least of my problems. There was Dimitra and gangsta Alpha or chimp Bulk and Skull to worry about. Anyone who hates because of Justin has no real reason for hating and does not have a real point

I still say Justin had a ton more fans 10 years ago, but now people are older and expect more from the show. Justin was made so that the show could get new younger viewers, they knew the current fans would someday leave. People that say Justin was a dumb idea forgot that back then Power Rangers didn't know if they could keep the show going this long.
