Looming Thunder vs. The Samurai's Journey

Looming Thunder (Thunder Strangers & Return of Thunder) vs. The Samurai's Journey.

Both of these Ninja Storm Arcs introduced new Rangers, "Looming Thunder" introduced Blake and Hunter as the Crimson and Navy Rangers. While "The Samurai's Journey" introduced Cam as the Green Samurai Ranger.

Which of these two arcs did you like more?

The story arc of the Thunder Rangers' intro was interesting and fun to watch. It was entirely obvious that Hunter and Blake were the Thunder Rangers the moment they popped up, and from there it was cool to see how they interacted with the Wind Rangers ... first as teenagers, with the Blake-Tori seeds planted and the brothers' obvious disdain for Dustin's airheadedness; second as evil Rangers plotting the destruction of the Wind Rangers -- the boys stealing Dustin's backpack, the CD with the data on the cycles and so on.

As great as that story arc is, though, I gotta go with "The Samurai's Journey." It brought Cam's parents' story arc (the promise Kanoi made to Miko) full circle, introduced us to the Green Samurai Ranger (we all knew it was going to be Cam, right? :) ), and it also told us of Lothor's origins, his relationship to Cam's family, and the fact that Cam played a direct role in Lothor's banishment (once Cam's actions had affected the timestream, that is). There was a lot of stuff going on there.

And then there was Marah and Kapri and their monster talent show. lol

I think the Samurai's journey was quite boring

I'd have to say that both were really great episode arcs but I like Looming Thunder better than The Samurai's Journey.

I have to say that I hated Samurai's Journey. It was not all that creative of an idea, plus it was executed badly.

Looming Thunder had that edge..that traditional evil ranger introduction.

I voted for "Samurai's Journey" because it showed Cam's mother, reveled that Lothor and Sensei were brothers and showed us what drove Kiya to turn to evil and become Lothor

Looming Thunder was good but it was to long, it felt like the Thunder Rangers beating the crap out of the Wind Rangers for the whole thing

Looming thunder is something we see close to every year. It's senselessly annoying.
