I just read this news on SPRC. Apparently, Disney plans on relaunching Toon Disney, to a a station targeted towards boys ages 6-14. And the name Toon Disney will be called "Disney XD". Not much is known, but here's a link: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/tv/la-fi-disney7-2008aug07,0,4061075.story
I assume this is the right section, seeing that it's not too PR-related.

Now if Disney would only come up with a network that shows 90's style Disney Channel shows. But the whole boy channel thing is basically what Toon Disney is now, but the article proved one thing, Disney has money, and when they use it they can expand their empire.

Will PR still be on that channel?

Judging by that article I would say that Power Rangers will be a focus. So with any luck this means that Disney will put more money into Power Rangers.

This is good news:D
Disney is realizing boys don't want to watch shows like "Hannah Montana" or "Lizzie McGuire" boys want to see fighting, so this is going to push PR to gain a higher budget, gain focus and become promoted more.
If PR 2009 pulls in good ratings on this network the Power Rangers franchise is only going up from here:D

Wth any luck Disney will put even half as much effort into Power Rangers as Hannah Montana.

Well from the way they put it it seems like Power Rangers and Aaron Stone will be the focus since both are live action.

This may prove to be a wise investment for disney or a total flop we shall see. I'm intrigued about this Aaron stone show.

Unfortunately we live in a world where 10 episodes count as a season, and are lucky Power Rangers have over 30.

I don't think this has anything to do with fixing the budget problem . They are just changing the name of the network.
