I'd like to see Shame GM of Raw, and Stephanie GM of Smackdown, though with her children, that would prob. be hard to do. I just wish Shane and Steph had more to do, than just behind the scenes stuff.. like they were when they were both competitors in the ring.

-- Nick "Hogan" Bollea celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday by being transferred into Pinellas County Jail's Central Division -- where he will reside in the direct supervision housing section which hold around 70 adults and one correctional officer. Hulk Hogan says that Nick works as a "janitor" behind bars. TMZ reports that Hulk Hogan, Linda Hogan, Bubba the Love Sponge and bunch of Nick's friends sang "happy birthday" to him over a video monitor. After that, they were allowed to visit him two at a time. His sister Brooke was not there.

-- TMZ cameras also caught up with Linda Hogan outside of the Pinellas County Jail yesterday. When asked about what she thinks about Brooke Hogan considering posing for Playboy, she laughed it off and said she hopes she doesn't do it - noting that Brooke is young and still has plenty of time to consider something like that.

I'm calling it right now the GM is Regal. He is coming off an recent suspension, he is still under contract. He basically has nothing to do, But I am telling you it is Regal. On an side note we got the Great Mike Adamle to replace Cole for tonight Yippee! (Sarcastic).

Thats the Jericho I use to know and love, frankly this new Jericho isn't at all amusing. From the start he was expected to get this storyline that he was the Savior blah blah. Yet he didn't achieve anything but winning the Intercontinental Champion. He works much better as an face than an heel

I doubt it is any of those two, I mean come on it doesn't seem like Flair or HBK would put Cole in an match. But now that Shane said that the GM could be an she, I'm having doubt of my previous post. Monday Night – July 28, 2008 – Washington DC

Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of the anarchy that ended last weeks RAW]

John Cena comes to the ring to start the show as he is booed by the fans here in Batista’s hometown. He says that he can tell by the mixed crowd reaction tonight that they know what he is about to tell them. He says that he isn’t perfect and he made a mistake. He says the way he was raised; when you make a mistake you face it like a man. He says that last week he socked Dave Batista in the mouth and that comes with some consequences. He then asks Batista to come out saying that they can settle these consequences right now.

[Batista’s Music Hits]

Batista comes to the ring wearing a Bullets jersey to massive cheers from his hometown crowd. He says that nobody knows more then him that things happen in the heat of the moment, and he has watched the footage. He says that as far as him and Cena go they are cool. He then says that when he wins the title at SummerSlam, Cena is the first man he wants to defend it against. Cena points out that Batista failed to win the title twice and that he may not be on the top of the list for the next title shot. Batista acknowledges Cena’s logic and says that Cena may not be either. Cena then says that, since there’s no McMahon’s or GM and everyone is making matches for themselves, they should have a Wrestlemania quality match here tonight, in Cena vs. Batista. Batista agrees but…

[Shane McMahon’s Music Hits]

Shane O’ Mac interrupts. He says that he and his sister have appointed the new GM of RAW whom he will introduce later on tonight. He says that this new GM has been busy. He says that CM Punk will be taking on the hottest free agent in their business. He also says that the new GM has plans for Cena tonight as well. He says that Cena will be facing the team of JBL & Cena. He then says that Cena’s partner will be the hometown boy, Batista.

- Commercial Break #1 -

[When we return, we see footage of Santino & Beth’s kiss from last week]

We see footage of Santino and Beth backstage arguing over who kissed who. They establish that their relationship is purely professional. They both agree and head to the ring.

Match #1: D’Lo Brown & Kelly Kelly vs. Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix:
The men start the match and Santino goes for a kick. Brown catches him and hits an atomic drop. He then hits a big shoulder block and scores a near fall. He whips Santino but he reverses and hits a neckbreaker. He then kicks Brown in the stomach and Beth tags herself in. She picks Brown up to the shock of Santino. Brown tags in Kelly and Beth slams her. She tags Santino back in and he goes off the ropes and hits a cheat shot on Brown. He then takes her down, and rolls her up for the win.

After the match, Santino and Beth looks like they are having a hard time finding words. They look back and forth at each other several times. Santino goes to leave but Beth grabs him by the back of his head and turns him around as he screams like a girl. She then plants a huge kiss on him that leaves him flabbergasted in the middle of the ring.

- Commercial Break #2 -

[When we return, we see a promo by Jeff Foxworthy for Generation Rescue and SNME]

Shane is in the back looking at a picture of his father. JBL comes in and says that Mr. McMahon is a great man. Shane asks what he wants and JBL basically says that he wants a title shot at SummerSlam. He says that Batista doesn’t deserve another shot and that Cena is a joke. Shane’s phone rings and he says it’s the new GM. He speaks to the new GM for a few minutes regarding a match change and then leaves, much to the dismay of JBL.

In the ring, Jerry Lawler and Hacksaw Jim Duggan come to the ring for a purported tag title match. However, a referee runs out and hands Lillian a note. She reads it and announces that the match has been changed. She says that instead of Jim Duggan, Jerry Lawler’s new partner will be…..Michael Cole. Cole is in complete disbelief.

- Commercial Break #3 -

Cole is skeptically getting into the ring when we return. Priceless then make their way to the ring.

Match #2: World Tag Titles – Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler vs. DiBiase & Rhodes:
King and DiBiase lock up, DiBiase pushes King to the corner and chokes him out until the ref breaks them up. He then does the same thing again. King comes back with a slap and then a whip, which DiBiase reverses. He then takes King down and hold him after tagging in Rhodes. Rhodes takes King into the corner until the ref breaks them up. King fights back out of the corner but Rhodes hits him in the gut and then goes off the top with a bulldog and scores a near fall. Rhodes applies an arm lock maneuver followed by a hard right hand. Rhodes goes to the top but King moves. He then throes some rights and takes down Rhodes as well as the illegal DiBiase. King is thrown into his own corner where Cole helps him up. The ref and Rhodes both thing this is a tag and so Cole comes in. He throws a few rights and puts up a bit of a fight. He tries to fight Rhodes but is no match. Rhodes slams him hard and picks up the win.

- Commercial Break #4 -

Mike Adamle is at the announce table when we return and explains that he didn’t know why he was supposed to be here but he will do his best. King returns as he says this and says that this new GM obviously likes to play games.

Jamie Noble is in the ring and says that he is the big rising star on this show. He also says that he is the ideal next Intercontinental Champion. He says that as such, he has challenged the current IC Champ to a match tonight. He then tells Kofi (Coffee as he pronounces it) Kingston to get down to the ring and take this like a man.

Match #3: Kofi Kingston vs. Jamie Noble:
They lock up and go to the corner where Jamie throws some rights and then takes Kofi down. He whips Kofi to the other side where he kicks Jamie in the face. He then comes back with a dropkick and a takedown followed by a Russian leg sweep. He then hits the high impact leg drop and goes for a kick to the head. Kofi goes off the corner, hits the cross body, and scores a near fall. Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise and picks up the win.

[We see Punk on his way to the ring for his match]

- Commercial Break #5 -

When we return, JBL has joined the commentators at ringside. He suggests that Adamle keep his mouth shut and let the Hall of Famer (king) and future Hall of Famer (JBL) call this match. The question as to who is the most impressive free agent in the business is then answered as Regal comes out. King comments that when the situation in his match occurred, he had thought that Regal might be back as GM, though that is clearly not the case.

Match #4: CM Punk vs. William Regal:
They lock up and Regal applies a headlock. Punk reverses and takes Regal to the mat. Regal reverses with a toehold but Punk reverses and applies an armbar. Regal reverses and scores a near fall. He then applies a headlock until Punk reverses and takes Regal down. Regal kicks Punk in the corner. He then lines Punks head up with the ring post and kicks his head into the post from the outside of the ring. He drops a knee and then applies a headlock and a takedown. Regal scores two near falls. He then applies a chin lock. He then hits some rights and then an armbar. Punk throws some right hands and gets out of the hold. He hits some rights and then a kick to the head and scores a near fall. Regal gets up and comes back with a big hard backdrop flip. Regal applies a submission but Punk lifts him up. He hits the GTS and picks up the win.

The Fire hits and Kane makes his way to the ring. He punches JBL in the face but is kicked by Punk. JBL then nearly decapitates Punk with a big boot to the face. Kane and JBL then stare each other down as re are reminded that these two are tag partners later tonight.

- Commercial Break #6 -

The Highlight Reel:
(It has been advertised earlier in the show that this may be Jericho’s final Highlight Reel)
Jericho comes to the ring in a blue suit and tie followed by Cade. The Jeri-Tron is still destroyed from HBK’s head being rammed through it several weeks ago. He says that once again last week he came out and tried to tell the truth and he was again ostersized and booed. He says this is because he has done something that most of us haven’t done and never will do and that is grow up. He says that in the past he was a glorified showman and party host because that is what the people wanted. He says that it is because of this he never reached gold. He says that because of this, this will be the last ever Highlight Reel. He then says that he has a video compilation from the career of an icon and legend, a man that we will never see in this ring again thanks to him. He says that it isn’t HBK, it’s him. [We then see a video package of Jericho as the man we love]. Jericho says that the footage was an embarrassment and that he is more proud of the footage of him destroying HBK then of anything else. Jericho says that when he destroyed HBK, he destroyed each of us.
Cade cuts in and says that it’s obvious that these people don’t respect him, but he does. He says that Jericho saved him when he was floundering here on Raw. He says that he was stuck with a singing cowboy. He says that for that, he will be forever grateful. Jericho thanks him and then directs his comments at HBK. He says that he knows HBK is at home trying to watch and even though he barely can, he knows that HBK can hear him. He tells HBK to listen to him and stay home. He tells him to enjoy his new life away from the ring and to care for himself. He tells him to hold his wife and be glad he has any sight left at all. He tells HBK to listen to him for the first time in his life, and stay home.

- Commercial Break #7 -

When we return JR comes to the announce table. He says he received a call to be here but doesn’t know why. Adamle then gets confused and thinks that Jillian is Lillian but King and JR set him straight.

Match #5: Mickie James vs. Jillian Hall:
Mickie is whipped to the corner. She kicks Jillian in the face and is then locked onto a head scissors. She reverses by slamming Mickie face first to the mat and scores a near fall. Mickie comes back with a kick but Jillian reverses and then applies a reverse headlock. Jillian screeches loudly but is rolled up by Mickie who scores a near fall. Mickie takes Jillian down to the mat again and then kicks Jillian in the gut. Mickie hits a big DDT and then picks up the win.

Following the match, Mickie goes over and hugs her father at ringside. When she does, Katie Leas jumps from the crows and attacks Mickie. She slams her on the floor hard. Katie goes to the ramp where Paul is waiting. She says that whoever this new GM is, she hopes he is watching because that is just for him. He says that she wants him to take note of the next Women’s champion and the future IC Champion, Paul & Katie Lea Birchill.

[We then see the SmackDown Rebound. It features the events that transpired between Vickie and Edge this past Friday night]

Todd Grisham speaks to Shane in the back and says that it’s great that he is here due to all the backstage chaos in past weeks. He then asks for the inside scoop on who the new GM is and when he will be here. Shane reminds him that it could be a woman and then says that the new GM is here already. Grisham doesn’t manage to get any more information out of Shane, and so he leaves.

- Commercial Break #8 -

[When we return, the commentators recap the SummerSlam Line-up.]
[We then see a promo for Generation Rescue and SNME]

Backstage:
Cena and Cryme Tyme are in the back. Cryme Tyme is trying to convince Cena let them accompany him to ringside. They say that he can’t trust Batista because if Batista scores the pinfall in this match, he will be in line for a title shot. Before they can finish this line however, Batista appears behind them and finishes it for them. Cena then asks for a minute alone CT leaves. Cena says that regardless of whoever this new GM is (it could be Shane for all he knows) he says that the two of them should just get through tonight’s match and then see what happens. Batista says that Cena is making that sound easier then it is. Cena says that it is easy but Batista cuts him off and says that he doesn’t trust him and knows that Cena doesn’t trust him, even if he denies it. They then offer to let each other walk to the match first. After going back a forth a few times, Cena finally goes first.

- Commercial Break #9 -

When we return, the commentators announce that they were informed during the break that the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels will be interviewed live next week on RAW. The commentators then establish that Adamle is here because Cole was assaulted and whom they still haven’t received an update on, and they still don’t know why JR is here.

JBL comes to the ring followed by Kane and they exchange shifty glances toward each other. Cena comes out next and goes right to the ring. The home town hero, Batista, comes out last to massive cheers. It is clear that none of these men trust each other.

Match #6: Batista & John Cena vs. JBL & Kane:
JBL and Cena start out as JBL hits some blows to the back. Cena reverses with an off the ropes shoulder block and a near fall. Batista is then tagged in. They lock up and Batista pushes JBL in the corner. He then hits some shoulder blocks. He then slams JBL and scores a near fall. Kane breaks up the fall and Cena attacks him for it. Both Kane and JBL are thrown from the ring and Cena and Batista round on each other. They stare each other down as we go to commercial.

- Commercial Break #10 -

JBL and Cena are going at it when we return. He hits a neckbreaker on Cena and then tags in Kane. He drops a fist on Cena and scores a near fall. Kane attacks Cena in the corner and then body slams him. Kane scores another near fall. He then applies a headlock as Cena struggles to make a tag to Batista. Kane pulls Cena back to the corner and tags in JBL. He throws some right hands and then tags Kane in again form a double team. Cena and Kane exchange blows until Kane hits a sidewalk slam and scores a near fall. Cena dodges a move from Kane and then hits a DDT. Batista and JBL both get tasg and go at it. Batista crushes JBL in the corner and then clotheslines Kane. He then whips JBL off the ropes but he reverses and sends Batista to the ropes. Kane pulls the rope down and Batista goes flying to the floor. JBL throws him back in and scores a near fall. He tags in Kane who kicks Batista in the head. He hits some shoulder blocks in the corner and then applies a leg scissors submission maneuver. Kane tags JBL in and he kicks Batista in the head and then cheap shots Cena off the apron. He attacks Batista in the corner but Batista reverses. JBL kicks him in the head but Batista reverses with a spear. Batista attacks Kane as he comes in illegally. JBL kicks Batista in the head as he turns around. Cena tags himself in, picks Kane up, hits an FU, and picks up the win.

Shane comes to the stage immediately following the match. He says to hold on one second. He asks isn’t this how they started tonight (With Shane on the ramp and Batista and Cena in the ring. He then introduces the new GM of RAW…….MIKE ADAMLE!!!!

Adamle steps into the ring and says that as GM, he is honored to announce that at SummerSlam, John Cena will be facing Batista. He wishes them good luck and leaves them both bewildered in the ring.

So GPR, how do you feel about the new GM?

GoldPhoenixRanger
07-29-2008, 04:38 AM
Unexpected for sure, but I have to say that he could be good. After all he did make that great Raw main event. And I have to admit that the Cole thing was a good idea. Here's what I think will happen. Adamle is now the GM so whoever is SD Play By Play announcer will do both ECW and SD. I'm hoping that JR will be moved back to Raw and Cole back to ECW/SD. I'm not crazy about his SummerSlam match but he is supposed to be a Heel GM so we aren't supposed to like his descions.

I also have to agree that he should get his ass beat on a weekly basis.

Adamle was a great decision to be the new Raw GM. The whole idea was set up nicely. I especially love JBL saying he's gonna suck up to the new GM and him insulting Adamle simultaneously. Great writing.

I don't know if any of you know this but Freddie Prinze Jr. knows what he's talking about. I was on Fan Nation's live chat thingy during NoC. He spoke like he's been in the business for years. I'm happy for him. I think people just get the impression it's gonna be another David Arquette.

ok tbh, I dont know If I liked the decision or not. Mike Adamle as GM, we'll have to wait and see what he does with raw. I always wanted to see a Cena vs Batista match but I wanted it to be a title mathc. I think we'll have to wait until either Batista or Cena wins the title and face each other in a title match. But that leaves Kane and JBL, I think it'll be Kane vs Punk at SS.

Legendary.

Congrats to Steph and Paul...I'm happy he didn't have babies with Chyna...lord how that would have looked. (Reason I said Paul is because Triple H the gimmick didn't have the kid=P)

Summerslam's WHC main event will probably be a Triple Threat. It'd be an easy way to finally get Punk a clean win as champion over a main eventer and it'd be an easy way to keep JBL bitchin' about how Punk hasn't won a one on one match fairly. I know people are gonna say that Punk looks like a weak champion but I think WWE is doing a fine job *if* they plan on turning him heel which RAW really really lacks right now. A dominant heel. In which they should be building Cody and Ted quickly and transition Y2J into a feud with Cena again.

Factor White

Congratulations to Steph and Trips. Well yeah you're right Legendary, I also now think that there will be a Triple Threat, Punk vs Badshaw vs Kane. And lemme guess, the winner of the Cena vs Batista will be facing Punk(I know he'll win) at Unforgiven

I was thinking Bishoff too, personally. However, this Adamle descision could be a good one. It all depends on what they do.

Here is what the fans think accoprding to the current poll on WWE.com:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you think of Mike Adamle being named as the new General Manager on Raw?

1) Adamle is a great choice. He already has Cena facing Batista at SummerSlam! 15.18%

2) Mike Adamle?! Are you serious?! 64.75%

3) Anything to keep him away from the announce table during ECW on Sci Fi! 20.05%
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BTW, idk if anyone has checked it out yet, but here is the line up for Saturday Night's Main Event so far:

1) Cena, Batista, & Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, Kane, & Priceless
2) Edge vs. Jeff Hardy

Plus, Jenny McCarthy steps in the ring to fight Autism!

In addition, in reference to that artice about HBK above, they are still advertising him for house shows. I live in NY and during RAW last night they were advertising a house show at Madison Square Garden about halfway through August, featuring HBK vs. Y2J in a Steel Cage match. So, I guess they decided they'd rather have HBK for an interview then lose him in house shows for multiple weeks.

Finally, it's time for...........................................

Tuesday Night – July 29th, 2008 – Hershey, PA

Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of last weeks Fatal 4-Way match]

Tazz introduces his new broadcast partner, Todd Grisham, since his old one, Mike Adamle, is now the GM of RAW.

Matt Hardy comes to the ring to start the show. He says that a little over a month ago, when he was drafted to ECW, he was psyched. He says that he had always been a fan of ECW because of their death defying matches. He says that he knew it was a perfect fit. He says he knew he would have opportunities and now he has the biggest one of them all, a chance to face mark Henry for the title at SummerSlam.

[Mark Henry’s Music Hits]

Tony Atlas comes out with Mark Henry and tells Hardy to take it easy. He says he knows he is a little intimidated by the World’s Strongest Champion, but he knows that Mark Henry was drafted, just like hardy was. He says that since Henry was drafted, he beat Kane and Big Show for the ECW Title. He says that since Hardy was drafted, he lost the US Title. He says that they didn’t come out there for that, he says they are here to give the audience a demonstration, but since hardy is here, they will do the demonstration. Tony asks for a steel bar which he is given. He says it is tough steel and to imagine that the steel is Hardy. Henry bends the metal in half and Tony says that that is what he is up against at SummerSlam, but the difference is that instead of just bend, Hardy will break.

Hardy says that there is a difference to what Tony said. He says that at SummerSlam, they aren’t have a bar bending contest, they are having a wrestling match. He says that objects like a metal bar or frying pan, is that people fight back…He fights back. He says that Henry is probably strong enough to break every bone in his body, but eh can never break his spirit.

[We see footage of Ricky “Atlas” Ortiz on his way to the ring for his match]

- Commercial Break #1 -

Match #1: Chavo Guerrero vs. Ricky Ortiz:
Chavo is accompanied to the ring by Bam Neely. They lock up and Chavo applies an armbar. Ortiz comes back with a flip leaving Chavo on the mat. Chavo gets back up and applies a side headlock. Chavo goes off the ropes but is caught by Ortiz. He lifts Chavo over his head and drops him on his face. Chavo whips Ortiz to the corner but he reverses with an elbow. He goes off the second rope with a flying shoulder block and scores a near fall. Chavo kicks Ortiz down and then hits an uppercut. He scores a near fall and then applies a chin lock. Ortiz manages to break free for a minute before Chavo reapplies the headlock. Ortiz comes back and slams Chavo into the corner and then levels him with some right hands. Chavo goes off the ropes and Ortiz hits him with a dropkick. Chavo comes back with a drop toe hold. Bam tries to get involved but the ref sees him and disqualifies Chavo.

Bam then assaults Ricky in the ring. He then holds him down by the legs as Chavo goes to the top rope. He hits a big Frog Splash on the helpless Ortiz. Suddenly, Evan Bourne comes running down the ramp. He climbs to the apron, bounces off the top rope, and dropkicks Chavo in the face. Bam Neely runs into the ring but Evan gets away and back up the ramp and out of harms away.

Backstage:
Henry and Atlas are talking in the back when Colin walks in. He says he was wondering why they left him during his match with Tommy Dreamer last week. Atlas says he was giving Colin the chance to impress them. Henry says Colin disappointed him last week when he lost to Dreamer and Colin asks for another chance. Atlas considers it and then says that since Henry has a match against Matt Hardy at SummerSlam, maybe Colin could face him in a match tonight to soften him up. Colin seems hesitant but Atlas says that he and Henry will be in his corner. Colin agrees after hearing this and Henry says to “go get ‘em”.

- Commercial Break #2 -

Match #2: Miz & Morrison vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle:
Finlay and Miz start the match. They lock ip and Miz is pushed to the corner. The ref breaks them up and Miz runs at him. Finlay bens his head back and elbows him in the jaw. Finlay then applies a double shoulder claw. Finlay then goes off the rope, hit sa shoulder block, and scores a near fall. He then applies a headlock to the Miz who manages to break free. He tags in Morrison who goes on the offensive. He applies a headlock and drags Finlay around the ring in that position. Finlay is distraced by Miz as Morrison comes up behind him. Hornswoggle comes in and gets on all fours behind Morrison. Finlay pushes him backward and he falls to the mat. Miz runs on and Finlay uses Horny as a battering ram into Miz’s gut. With both men on the mat, Finlay and Hornswoggle each land on one and throws some shots.

- Commercial Break #3 -

Finlay has a headlock on Morrison when we return. Finlay slams him and scores a near fall. Finlay comes back with a body slam and then drops an elbow. He applies a headlock. Morrison flips Finlay over his shoulder and goes for an elbow but missed. Finlay applies a half Boston crab but Morrison grabs the rope, despite Horny trying to kick his hand away. Morrison takes control and stomps Finlay in the corner until he hits a backslide and scores a near fall. Finlay comes back and slams Morrison into the turnbuckle. He then hits a hard shot to the chest and tosses Morrison to the mat. Finlay is thrown into the corner until he reverses. Miz distracts him and Finlay climbs to the apron. Morrison then shoves Finlay face first into the ring post. Morrison throws him back in and tags Miz. Morrison slams Finlay’s arm into the top rope as he leaves. Finlay is taken to the mat and Miz uses a submission. Finlay grabs the rope and Miz tags Morrison. Morrison goes over the ropes but Finlay moves. He then cheap shots Miz off the apron and assaults Morrison in the corner with some shoulder blocks. He then picks Morrison up and slams him with a rolling slam. Finlay goes to the top but Horny tags himself in. he tries a Hurricarana but Morrison catches him and slams him face first into the mat. He then pins Horny for the win.

Miz and Morrison head up the ramp when Mike Knox comes out of the crown and attacks Finlay in the ring. He hits a big boot and then goes to Horny. Finlay manages to get his shillelagh, but Knox sees him. He boots him in the face again and this time Finlay stays down. Knox has a sadistic look in his eyes as he stands over Finlay’s broken body.

- Commercial Break #4 -

[When we return, we see footage of the end of the last match]

Mike is in the back and Lena catches up to him. She asks him if he can explain his actions. He says that Finlay likes to dance around with leprechauns, and the way he sees it, that makes him soft. He says that here in ECW, soft doesn’t cut it, and he just took his shot.

[Todd introduces and we then see a promo for Generation Rescue and SNME]

We see Matt Hardy stretching in the back. Braden Walker comes up and says he wanted to wish Hardy luck in his “big match” tonight. Matt jokingly says that he heard that Colin is a real killer. Braden sarcastically replies by asking what Colin is, like 6’6 and 330 lbs.? Braden says he has Hardy’s back tonight and Hardy thanks him. As Braden goes to leave, Hardy asks his name, and Braden apologizes and introduces himself. Hardy shakes his hand and says he’ll see him around.

- Commercial Break #5 -

[When we return, we see the WWE Slam of the Week. It is footage of the Dreamer/Delaney match from last week]

Match #3: Matt Hardy vs. Colin Delaney:
Hardy comes out first. Colin comes out next with Henry and Atlas, who stay on the ramp. They lock up and Hardy takes Delaney down with a shoulder block. Delaney grabs a leg but Hardy kicks him off. Hardy hits a clothesline after catching Delaney’s leg. Hardy hits a suplex and scores a near fall. Delaney is whipped across the ring and into two corners hard. Hardy picks him up and hits a body slam. Delaney kicks Hardy in the face as he runes toward him and then hits a missile dropkick and scores a near fall. Hardy comes back with a back suplex and a hard right hand. Hardy goes to the second rope and hits a diving elbow to the back of the neck. He then hits the side effect. He taunts Henry for a minute and then hits the Twist of Fate on Delaney and picks up the win.

Henry and Atlas then make their way to the ring and climb in. Hardy puts his dukes up but Henry goes to Delaney instead. He picks Delaney up over his head and throws him from the ring like a rag doll. He and Hardy then stare each other down for a minute before Henry heads up the ramp. As he leaves, he turns around and says that Hardy will get his.

It's only an hour long right?

Effin ECW can produce 5 quality matches on a good night and all SNME can do is give us something we've already seen? Bullshit. WWE should capitalize on this main stream opportunity by giving some of their other talent a chance to shine especially on a major network.

I'm just glad they brought Undertaker back. I thought that his contract was up again, and he didn't renew; originally, back when he was the American Badass, the Buried Alive match against McMahon was supposed to be his last... but McMahon offered him one hell of a check. I thought the "I quit" angle for the match against Edge was just him saying he was done. I'm glad I was wrong.

Tomko is leaving? *sigh* He's so good in the ring. It's a shame he wasn't willing to more stuff they wanted him to do. Wonder if he'll make a WWE return later on?

Black Reign didn't do much for me. I perfered him as Goldust in WWE, but even then I could only stand him to a certain degree.

Yea. I'm disappointed they haven' put him over but I understand to a certain extent, they're still trying him out.

True but the Raw rating with him as champ has been decently better than pre-draft HHH Raw ratings which is a sign of something good.

After this HBK angle I really hope Punk and Jericho can get into a nice feud. I mean wow. Jericho is really the top act heel on Raw. He should be given a well deserved title run. I wouldn't mind if Jericho was a transition champion either, albeit I don't think they would do that to a man like Y2J.

Kofi Kingston is the man. I was just thinking about him while playing SVR 08. I am really stoked about SVR 09 and the possibilities of playing with all this amazing talent such as Kingston.

Speaking of 09. There was some new things up on IGN with it. Looks amazing. I think this might be the ideal game, the BGM for the Mode Selection are superstar themes...how awesome!!! =D I cannot wait to pick up the PS2, Wii, and hopefully by that time I'll have one, the PS3 version.

I have been saying that since she first came on! I can't stand Maria at all. I use to talk trash about her, Kelly Kelly and Torrie Wilson not being able to wrestle. They finally released Torrie due to an injury (thank God). Kelly Kelly has really improved from how she was when she first came on scene. But, Maria has not improved one bit. Any WWE Diva could pin her in mer seconds, but they seem to want to play down all everyone she's up against so she will win. Please. Like Maria could EVER take down Victoria... or anyone for that matter.

Maria is still around only because of all the hype they are getting from her being in Playboy.

Got to agree with you there...I think it's a bold attempt to make their ppvs 'stand out'. I myself have never watched one, I think they should kind of stay away from the gimmick matches as a whole if they don't develop any solid storylines or gain viewers. If they see it's not working than abandon it.

Monday Night – August 4th, 2008 – University of Tennessee

Show Opening:
Adamle comes out and says that he has some things to say before the show tonight. He compares himself to Ronald Regan and says that like Regan, he went from mediocre to power. He says that he believes in America and that anyone can do what they set their mind to. He emphasizes that he believes that anything is possible. He then asks the crowd if they would like to see title matches tonight. He asks if they would like to see one or two title matches to which they cheer, louder for two title matches. He compliments Adamle and the blockbuster he made one blockbuster SummerSlam match last week, and he should keep it going. He then says that it should be him against Punk for the title. Jericho appears and says that JBL doesn’t deserve a title shot, he himself does. Jericho argues that he destroyed HBK ay the Great American Bash whereas JBL points out that Jericho beat up a one eyed man. He says that his match against Cena was a worse battle and so he should get the title shot. They argue for a few minutes until Adamle interrupts. He says that he has an idea. He says the easy way out of this would be a triple threat match, but he’s never been one to do things the easy way. He says he has an idea for something that’s never been done before. He announces that tonight, JBL and Jericho will team up in a handicapped match against Punk and whichever one of them pins him or makes him tap out will get a title shot. So GPR, what did you think about RAW's ending?

Ao Ultimate
08-05-2008, 06:29 AM
I just thought about this...John Cena and Batista winning the World Tag Team Championships just before their big match at SummerSlam reminds me of Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertake winning the World Tag Team Championships just before their big match at SummerSlam, only that their win was at Fully Loaded 98 and not on an episode of RAW and that their big match is was for the WWE Championship. Ironically, there is a ten year seperation between them. Just a witty observation.

So GPR, what did you think about RAW's ending?Well, first off I like Mike Adamle's GM style. I could get used to him.

Secondly, I knew Cena and batista were going to win, because it adds drama to their rivralry. AO mentioned Austin and Taker doing the same thing 10 yrs ago which is true, but I feel like there was another team that did that more recently, though maybe not at SummerSlame. I'm thinking that might have been part of the HHH/HBK rivralry but I'm not sure. Either they will probably drop the titles back down to Priceless once their feud is over and they're both back in the title hunt.

Also, guesses as to what we'll find in Kane's birlap sack next week?

I would think its his mask and hes talking about his former self, but wwe.com suggested the Undertakers Urn so maybe there will be a Kane/Undertaker thing after he finishes with Edge. What do you guys think?

Also, what do you guys think of the Adamle Original double title match for Santino and Beth? I have a feeling they are going to win, either by hook or by crook.

Hey legendary is your avatar the rated R pillow?

Yes! =P

I'm still writing hate letters to Cena and Batista for taking Punk's spot in the main event. Punk needs to be put into the highest rated timeslot and that's the over-run. This is getting ridiculous. The only time I remember having CM Punk in the main event of RAW, correct me cuz I know I'm wrong, is when he defeated JBL the night he won his title. Oh wait...and when he defended against Batista. And he had help to win.

BTW, Was I not right about the whole Jericho-Punk feud? They work really well in the ring together and if you get those too on the mic, you'll be watching The Dark Knight in words (pure genius).

10!

Honestly Adamle made a great GM especially in the neutral side. He did nothing for the heels that he didn't do for the face. The crowd loved his decisions but hated the guy himself.

I caught a little of the guy when he was making matches, I'll give him a solid six until I see more of him next monday. I think making Batista and Cena tag champs was a sucky move and only because I saw it coming a mile away.

They have Mary Henry and Tony Atlas on screen as cutout pictures with other lips talking for them. (You might have seen something similar on Conan O’Brien’s show.) They make fun of Mark Henry’s size and say he has a glandular problem. They also make fun of Tony Atlas being Henry’s “translator”. After a few minutes of this, the real Henry and Atlas come out and nearly kill Miz and Morrison. Miz and Morrison quickly apologize and make amends. They then do the same thing to Matt Hardy, making fun of him supposedly being number two in his family to Jeff. The real Matt Hardy comes out to massive cheers. Hardy says it’s good to see they are Conan O’Brien fans. Hardy then makes fun of Miz’s scarf and he says he loved them in Brokeback Mountain. Man was ECW brilliant tonight? Or was it the crowd, they were hot as hell.

Evan Bourne is super over with the ECW crowd and placing him with Ricky Ortiz tonight is only gonna make Ricky Ortiz a bigger name on ECW. I still need to see more out of him in his matches. Every wrestler has a style they should stick too, JBL is a brawler, Mark Henry the power house....etc..etc..Ricky needs to find his style to be put in matches that are gonna make him look better. I like the fact Chavo and Bourne are feuding though.

Braden Walker needs to stop and fucking go back to doing things TNA style. He looked soo bad in his match tonight...and his theme sucks. I usually see a bad wrestler with a nice theme or vice versa...but this...this is amazing. He's sucking in the ring and out of the ring.

Matt and Mark are gonna continue this feud past Summerslam I see it.

I'm digging what they're doing with Miz and Morrison. Not putting them in any major storyline yet.

Mike Knox can talk!

Matt Striker did a phenomenal job on commentary tonight. Very impressive.

Foley to TNA...think he'd actually wrestle? I'd like to see him back in the ring but I don't think he'd do that good as a main eventer. If anything it'd be pretty cool to see him come in as a GM or something, taking over Russo's job by force or something.

It is interesting to note that on last night's ECW, they didn't explain Striker's appearance as a one-time deal and gave the impression that he was now going to be joining Grisham from that point on.

Actually...Grisham said, "Also here on ECW tonight, filling in for Tazz." They did not say he was replacing Tazz or that Striker was the new commentator. Although he did a good job Tazz is still on with ECW unless said otherwise.

Jeez, WWE has a lot going on. 6 guys released and a major lawsuit! Crazy. Since four out of the five released supersrtars are on SmackDown, I'm not suprised they moves Super Crazy over there to pick up some slack.

Too bad for the new guys (Walker & Curtis). Walker espicially was looking good.

She says that at Saturday Nights Main Event it was he that cost Hardy his match. We then see footage of MVP kicks Hardy in the head behind the referees back costing him the match. MVP says its typical that they show footage of him attacking Hardy but not footage of Hardy attacking him the night before on SD. He says that he’s glad he has a match against Hardy at SS, but Hardy is his own worst enemy. All he has to do is sit back, and do what he does, and that’s be better then everyone else.

Chavo and Vickie are in her office. Chavo reminds Vickie that she re-instated him and that the black rose is a symbol of death (clearly meaning the Undertaker). Hawkins comes in and asks if they’ve seen Ryder anywhere as he can’t find him. He says that after their match Ryder was going to get something to eat and Hawkins hasn’t seen him since. Chavo asks if he checked the commissary. He says yes and Chavo asks if he checked the locker rooms and he says yes, all of them. Vickie asks if he checked the parking lot and the two men look at each other for a moment before Hawkins leaves, presumably to do just that.

- Commercial Break #4 -

Indian Broken Glass Arm Wrestling Contest:
In this match, WWE Champion Triple H will go against his SS opponent The Great Khali. There will be broken glass on either side of the arm wrestling table, which could have drastic repercussions for the loser. Triple H comes out first to massive cheers. Khali comes out next with his translator. Raijin. Triple H tests the glass and sees how sharp it is. The referee checks both their arms and then has them start. Raijin says Khali would like to say something before they start. Khali speaks for a minute and Triple H then says he has no idea what he said. The translator says that Khali says Triple H should get out while he can. He says that Khali doesn’t care that he beat some of the greatest in the business (i.e. Austin, Rock, and HBK) because he has never been in the ring with the Punjabi Nightmare, the Great Khali. Triple H says that Raijin should rub the lamp he got Khali out of and put him back in for his own protection. He says that he might never have been in the ring with Khali, but Khali has also never been in the ring with the Game. Triple says he will tell them exactly what he will do at SummerSlam. He says he will break Khali’s legs, and then once he is down to his height, he will beat him. Triple H goes on to say that there isn’t anything that Raijin, and the jolly genie over here can do about it. He says if Khali isn’t down with that, he has two words for him. (The fans supply the Suck It!)

They lock up on the table after both stretch and procrastinate for a moment. The referee secures their wrists together. He says they will go on his command. They go and triple H gets the early advantage. Khali begins fighting back however and pushes Triple H to the limit. It gets close but Triple H comes back again. Khali has enough and head butts Triple H and throws the table aside. Khali head butts him again and then goes for a Khali Bomb. Triple H comes back and throws some rights and lefts. He goes for a Pedigree but can’t hook both arms as Khali is too big. Khali throws him aside and then applies the Khali Vice grip. Triple H fights back at first but it’s too much and he slowly fades. His face turns beat red as Khali keeps squeezing until Triple H is left nearly unconscious on the mat. Raijin says that Khali says at SummerSlam, Khali has two words for him…Game Over.

Chavo and Vickie are in her office when someone knocks on the door. Chavo lets Edge in and hugs him. Edge says that he was hoping that they could put this behind them. Vickie screams at him for a minute. Chavo calms her down and reminds her of what they talked about earlier. Edge says that they can’t let what happened to the rest of the family happen to them. He says as the head of this family, he has a plan, but they have to do this his way. He asks Vickie if she will do this his way. After a moment she says yes. Edge says he can’t hear her and she repeats her yes louder. Edge then says lets go do this. He leaves first and Chavo pushes Vickie behind him.

- Commercial Break #9 -

Edge, Vickie, and Chavo come to the ring when we return. Edge looks around for Taker and then grabs some steel chairs from ringside. He hands one to Chavo and keeps the other for himself. He then calls the Undertaker out. He says that if Taker wants to take out the members of his family, well he should come out and use his supernatural powers. He asks Undertaker to strike him down with lightening or make the lights go out. Nothing happens and he says that’s what he thought, because they are prepared for him. He asks Chavo to move Vickie aside, and he does so. Chavo then comes back to the center of the ring. He drops Chavo’s chair on the mat and then smashes Chavo with his chair when he bends over to his it. He hits him a few times and then sets a chair under his head. He waits for a moment as Vickie screams and then nails a con-chair-to to Chavo. Edge then closes in on Vickie. He pushes her out of the chair as she keeps screaming. He asks if it dawned on her yet that the person that she needs to worry about isn’t the Undertaker, it’s him. He says that Mick Foley was right; this is the Edge that needs to walk into SummerSlam. He says that if she wants to put him in a Hell in a Cell, then he is going to take the Undertaker down to hell with him. He is going to take the whole family to hell with him!! But most of all, he is going to take Vickie to hell with him! Vickie cries in the corner as she has been for the last few minutes as Edge sadistically smiles.

GPR's X-Pound:

Hello everyone, and welcome to my X-Pound! I will be adding this segment to all of my recap shows from now on, and in it I will give my comments, opinions, and insights on the show I just recapped.

Tonight is SmackDown, so lets start it off.

1) I have to say that the Diva's match was basically a load of crap. Victoria hit a few nice moves, and the sharpshooter from Natalya is always well applied but other then that this match was a joke simply because the Olympics started tonight.

2) When they found Bam in the back, I wasn't quite sure of what to think, but I knew it probably wasn't Undertaker since SummerSlam is supposed to be his big return.

3) Ths match between the tag champs and the rednecks was suprisingly good. Yang and Moore have a real chemistry together and its almost sad when you remember that Shannon Moore has now left WWE, so this was his last match. The tag champions winning gave them some good heat and was the right way to go, although seeing Shannon win his last match would have been nice too.

4) The MVP/Hardy feud is really getting good. It's almost a shame that a great match between Hardy and Benjamin had to end with a cheap shot to the head, though I think we all know that Hardy would have won. This gets the match of the night award by far. After all of the personal stuff MVP said to Jeff in the VIP Lounge, I can tell this is going to be a hell of a match at SummerSlam. MVP really is a great heel, though I could see him being almost as good a face.

5) When Hawkins couldn't find Ryder, you knew that they would all end up taken out. It was almost laid out for us.

6) The broken glass arm wrestling contest was simply to promote Khali going into his title match. This SummerSlam match really has no purpose at all accept to keep Triple H occupied and allow him to defend the title until after the whole Edge/Undertaker thing is over. This will be a good match though, since we've never seen these two go at it before. It was also obvious that no ones hand would be cut by glass, as that is just sadistic.

7) Kozlov is impressive, theres no doubt, and they wal they've built him up was smart. I was hoping he would face Festus tonight, as Jesse never stood a chance in my opinion. The way Kozlov looked at Festus after the match tells me that they may face each other either next week or maybe even at SummerSlam if we're lucky.

8) I'm becoming steadily more impressed with The Brian Kendrick. He really has talent as a heel and I can see where JR's Brian Pillman comparison fits in. With his man Zeke at his side, he could become a top heel and I can see a US Title shot for him in a month or two if his character takes off. Also, it looks like Super Crazy is on SD now which makes sense due to the fact that they lost four other SD guys earlier today.

9) Ok, I have to say, was it just me, or did everyone know it was Edge assaulting family members and not Undertaker? This seemed obvious to me and so it wasn;t really a shock when he attacked Chavo. Pushing Vickie to the ground before scaring her was a nice touch. As much as I don't like to agree with Edge, he's right, tonight we saw the Edge that needs to be in that Hell in a Cell with The Undertaker. This also leaves us with an interesting three way struggle between Edge, Undertaker, and La Famila.

Well, I know this was long, but I hope you enjoyed this first edition of my new show.

Remember, if the WWE show is stoppin, then my shows poppin.
So, come in, hang out, you know what to do,
because the X-Pound is for people like me and you!
(In your face MVP!)

X Bound is best! Although I have a question.

Hello everyone, and welcome to my X-Pound! I will be adding this segment to all of my recap shows from now on, and in it I will give my comments, opinions, and insights on the show I just recapped.

When you say show, does that include PPV's.

X Pound is best! Although I have a question.
When you say show, does that include PPV's.

Ok, I've been considering how best to do this. I think from now on, for RAW, ECW, and SD I will post my recap as normal and then post my X-Pound about a half hour to an hour later. This will give you guys time to post after the recap so there is space before I post again. This will prevent the posts from being as ridiculously long as tonights was.

As per your question SHR, Legendary gave me the link to his PPV site and as a result, provided it works, I can watch all the PPV's without a problem. However, trying to watch a PPV on my comp and type a recap at the same time would be impossible. Therefore, in lieu of a full PPV recap, I will post an X-Pound for each PPV, and I will include some recap details in it. That should make things easier for me while still keeping you guys happy.

Sound Good?

Sounds awesome.

You write some excellent recaps and we hardly ever here your thoughts on the show, so this should be twice as awesome as ever=] Can't wait.
