This interview should be completed within a week, but at the same time there are a few situations that may cause delay in completion. These situations include school, work, family events, emergencies, computer problems, etc. If one occurs just let me know through this thread or via Private Message, and we can continue this interview on a later date. I will let you know if anything in my life comes up as well.

Note that personal questions will not be asked in this interview.

I think I have covered everything so let us begin.

Your username; can you tell everyone the origin of your name? How you came up with it? Does it have a meaning to fan fic, or character you made up, or someone in Power Rangers?

Obviously I needed a username to join and I didn't want to put off registering so I had to think of one quickly. I knew I wanted it to be the name of some kind of ranger that I could eventually at least make an avatar for. The group of ranger suits from In Space are some of the best looking, I think, and probably some of the easiest to use to create new rangers. I poked around the periodic table of elements for something that seemed somewhat natural and I found platinum. "Platinum Ranger" may have a slight bit of cheese to it, but I can hear it being used on the show. What really convinced me is that platinum is supposed to be a silvery white, and there are no white rangers from In Space. Of course, I may not necessarily end up using Space, but that is the plan for now.

Well, it looks like I could've picked a worse name than 'Platinum Ranger.'


Name your top five favourite seasons of Power Rangers. Why are they your favourites? Did you like the villain's for these seasons? Is there anything you might slightly change about it?

Before I answer this (and others to come) I must make an important disclaimer of sorts. I was a very loyal viewer of Power Rangers in the beginning, but eventually fell out at some point during Time Force. Since then I have at least tried to watch enough to get a decent sense of every season and I stay on top of who's who and what's to come the following year. I've increased my viewing over the last few years and I now plan to watch the entire series, although that will take some time. Anyway, all of that is to say that I know the basics of the past six, seven years or so but I'm not fully informed. Now let's get to an answer...

I'm not completely sure what my type five would be, but I would be surprised if it didn't include the first season of Mighty Morphin', the dino era; Zeo; and In Space. So to start, let me touch on those. These are in chronological order and may not necessarily be my top three...


Mighty Morphin' season one, The Dino Era
To sum it up, this season is just classic. I thought the group was a good mix, I loved Zordon and Alpha, the villains, and nearly everything. As I remember it, there was plenty of good Sentai footage, which always looks better. (That, or they just do a better job of not making it as obvious now days.) Also, everything was simple because this was in the early days and it was before they tried to add this little new thing and that little new thing like they did in the following two seasons in order to counteract how so many other things stayed the same. I do not at all mind that there was only one set of zords, and more importantly, they weren't CGI!

Zeo
This season was a renaissance of sorts in that things finally started to change. The team got new powers that didn't just so happen to look the same as before and we got completely new villains. It was a pretty exciting time.

In Space
Turbo gave us Justin, who I never cared for, and then they completely flipped the rest of the team. I didn't think that group worked very well, but when they dumped Justin, bumped the guys down, and put in Andros, the whole dynamic fell into place pretty well. Andros guided us into a very expanded world of Power Rangers and has one of the strongest presences of all the leaders. Astronema and her relationship with Ecliptor was certainly unlike anything we had ever seen, and it was fantastic. Perhaps my biggest beef with this season concerns Ecliptor. Why he would turn to dust in the end while people like Rita and Zedd would turn good is beyond me. Also, given that Karone had a special, purple Astro Megaship suit I was hoping she would be given ranger powers. It would have been especially awesome given that it would make her the purple ranger, and I waited from 1993 until 2007 to see a true purple/violet ranger.


After those three, it gets a little harder, but another in my top five may be SPD. It's hard to pinpoint all the reasons why, but I was instantly drawn to the feel of the season as soon as I saw it. Again, none of these are set in stone, but if I had to pick a fifth right now it would probably be either Lost Galaxy, Ninja Storm, Mystic Force, or Jungle Fury.

A great evil is loose. It's your job to construct a ranger team. Out of all the rangers available from all the different Power Ranger/Sentai seasons, which ones would you want on the team? These can be from each season and you can have whoever you like, so Five Rangers one Sixth ranger Or SPD style and have 8.
In addition, why you would chose them as well, what makes them good enough?

If it's all the same to you, I'm going to take a specific approach to this question. I'm going to make a team in the way of "Once a Ranger" in that I'll use pre-existing ranger powers/designations and not have any color or season represented more than once.

Tommy will be my sixth ranger, with his green ranger powers. (We'll assume that his powers aren't limited like they were before.) That covers the first season. My team will also have Andros and Karone which covers the colors red and pink and the seasons In Space and Lost Galaxy. After that, I think I'll go with Tori, knocking out blue and Ninja Storm. With two more spots, it gets a little tricky because I don't know the "value" of RJ's powers. If I could use him as one of five, I would, and make the last ranger either the third MMPR season's Adam or possibly even SPD's Z. If I can't use RJ as one of five, I would probably have Adam and maybe Lily.
Why these selections? They're just who I like the best.

Thus far which Power Ranger/Super Sentai team up has been your favourite? Why is it your favourite? What has made it your favourite? Was there anything that the team up was lacking? Explain.
