Need Suggestions for my site!

I finally thought of doing a helpful thing by creating a site with it's own domain name. It's RangerCommunities.com or should I chang the name of the site. It's a site for hosting free forums. Many people like creating forums on Power Rangers or anything else. And instead of using InvisionFree or IPBfree, you can use this. But I don't know whether I should use that name for the site and what forum software should I use:

1. IPBv1.3
2. PhpBB3
3. MyBB

Please post your suggestions!

The domain sounds okay, but might be a bit long. The less characters the better, although consisting of words helps remember. RangerCom.com might work... Or you could use more than one domain for the same site. I know some domain registrators give your 5 at a time.

I don't know too much about those boards, although I've been on a PhpBB which was alright. Unfortunately I think most types that come with a licence (like vBulletin) are generally better for the users and look more professional.

Ok, Hi guys, I can't provide IPBv1.3 hosting right now because the script has many problems. I've to do some editing stuff to it. But when the site opens, I'll provide you guys with phpbb3 and MyBB 1.4 forum hosting. I like VBulletin the best, but Invision Power Board is pretty kewl as well. I've been on sites that use the others, and they are usually complicated and messy.

It's best to find a hosting company that will set you up with your database and install the software automatically. Installing wordpress by yourself is hard, but when it's automatically setup by the hosting company, it's much easier. I assume it would work the same with Forum software.

Now I'm not trying to discourage you with this next part. As for the purpose of your site, you need to think of what your site can offer that other Power Ranger sites don't. For example, we already have good sites like RangerTalk, RangerCast, and Ranger Discovery, not to mention that other Board. With all those choices, and since they are established, it'll be hard to attract new members; especially when they can talk about Power Rangers on the sites they are already a part of. What got RangerCast going well, was it was started by one of the actors, and is geared toward getting the actors to interact with fans.
