Disney owns Power Rangers, and are apparently turning the Toon Disney channel into a Disney "boy's" channel.

I also say that this means that Power Rangers will have a brighter future(then if they didn't want to make a "boy's" channel)

Disney XD is going to be the "boy's channel"

I don't think that Toei is going to let Disney keep Power Rangers after 2009. For all I know, another American company might get the Super Sentai series.

Yes, for all you know.

Because everyone else knows NO American company would ever get the Super Sentai series. Never.

And I don't see why everyone is shitting bricks over Power Rangers and how long it's going to last. First everyone screeched like little school girls when they thought it was going animated (though I said all along it wouldn't!), and we see that turned out to be false. Now kids are shitting bricks over how long the series will last now that Disney is changing Toon Disney over to Disney XD and offing Jetix... though Disney XD is being aimed for young boys - and last time I checked Power Rangers was being aimed at young boys.

Did something change recently? LMAO!

Toei has no say in who gets Power Rangers, that is 100% Disney(as they own the show)

Also, Sentai does not have a strong American fan base(I'd say only about 3% of the country even knows about it)

I 100% agree.

I also think that Power Rangers is not nearing its end. I feel that it is almost at the point of turning the corner, and having a rebirth.

P.S. before you get on me about the very low percentage of Sentai fans, remember the mass amount of people in America.

Power Rangers will live forever! But seriously, I think Power Rangers will be on tv for many years to come.

Even if PR does eventually end, we already have 16 full seasons of episodes and material to watch. Seriously, stop sulking.

Just because they're changing the name of a programming block or a network, doesn't mean that Power Rangers is going away. Power Rangers was on Toon Disney before Jetix took over the evening hours, why wouldn't they be on Disney XD? It would be stupid of Disney to drop their highest rated show during the changeover.

100 % agreed.

PR is fading away anyway with each season. It's just a matter of time before it finally ends.

Raditude, they are changing the entire focus of the channel. However, since they have said they are focusing on boys, I would say that just helps Power Rangers.

Also since they are starting to focus on getting more boys to watch there channel, it might mean a higher budget, which could mean better seasons. After all, Power Rangers is their biggest show that is targeted at boys.

As long as Sentai is on PR will still be on. When Sentai ends that is when PR's will end.

Sorta took the words out of my mouth but in a different way like this:

We'll always have PR as long we have Supe Sentai and it will end whenever Toei decides to stop doing Super Sentai whiohc would have PR end the next year.

But you know, if PR ever became unprofitable for Disney, would they pull a Saban and sell it?

A new company might be good... or it could be worse than Disney and we'll be old men complaining because it was better in the Disney days.

That's a worst case scenario though...

Disney wouldn't sell it, they usually don't sell the properties.
The only way I can see Disney selling it is if they took the show off the air, and then 10 years later, if someone puts out the money, they will sell it. But they won't sell it if the show is still running.
