Take four seasons: Turbo, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, SPD. Also bare in mind I'm not here to prove a point, just to discuss.

Turbo had the Lightening Cruiser and Storm Blaster for TJ and Justin, yet Carlos never recieved a vehicle of his colour. The same sort of thing happened again in Lost Galaxy, except now it was entire Megazords: Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords. Just like Turbo didn't have a Green Vehicle for regular assistance, Lost Galaxy didn't have an entire Green Megazord. In Space had a Megazord entirely Blue aswell. Also in Timeforce, the Megazord has two modes instead of two Megazords for each colour: Mode Red and Mode Blue, but no Mode Green.

However in SPD. We see something bizarre. We see the Red and Green Rangers purposely given two new bikes (Green and Red respectively) but Sky doesn't recieve a new bike of the colour Blue, and when he protests he is apparently labelled as ungrateful. This event was probably due to the purpose of the episode's story regarding Sky's development, but it's still interesting to consider.

What does everyone think?

Also I understand that the Lost Galaxy Auxiliary Megazords didn't belong to the Red and Blue Rangers respectively, but it still shares their colour obviously.

I always wondered about the Ranger arsenals and personal vehicles...mostly because it seems like females always get gipped.

I've definitely noticed that the series dotes on Red and Blue a lot (especially when both are male), but Green/Black and the female rangers usually get shut out, except for that instance you just named and the MegaBattle Armor of the LSR male rangers...

I completely forgot about Lightspeed Rescue then, actually.

Anyway, now it's come up, that's extreme in the opposite direction, because it seemed like the Blue and Green Rangers recieved Battlizers aswell. It's almost the equivilant of Adam and Rocky receiving their own Battlezords in Zeo.

If anybody gets the short end of the stick, more often than not, it's the female team members. They never get anything specific to them, other than their usual Ranger-specific weapon. There are countless examples of this, too.

As a (male) feminist, I'm still sore about that little comment Syd made to Z in SPD about why the guys all got motorcycles and they got that jeep thing.

It's due to PR sticking to stereotypes mainly, it's fair to assume that PR is patriarchal and seems to always have a build in bias towards males, I'm not saying it's fair, but it happens. However, evidence shows that PR has tried to break away from this, as seen in Time Force with Jen leading.

To go straight into a season where the roles are completely reversed will be a bad mood (at least at first) since it's a drastic change, they need to build up to it. They almost did. After Time Force you had Wild Force, which showed Taylor having a very tough and Jen-esque attitude to leading the team, at least before Cole became fully established. The idea failed even before Wildforce finished 10 episodes.

IMO they should have treated Jen like they treated males, with powerups and shizzle, if they wanted her to gain the same status as the males, and should have given Taylor more of a leadership front throughout the season. Things might have been more different, and the Disney seasons would have been less patriarchal.

this is deep I liked all the weapons and vehicles of PR regardless of who had them
