This is a thread to talk about Batman the animated series. You can say why you liked it, the characters, what you would do differently, or anything about the show.

I would argue that Harley allowed them to make the Joker more evil.

I would ask you to back that one up, because it's quite the opposite in my eyes.

Harley allowed for the Joker to get away with more because she lighten the mood of the show. But that is just me suporting one of my favorite charcters(so I am probably just seeing things the way I want to). Harley is just one of those characters that act crazy, but is very smart. She, at times, made the Joker seem more serious(untill he loses his pants). Harley is one of those characters that shows flashes of intelgence(Beware the Creeper and Mad Love). Plus, she is the ultimate victim.

But back to the show, it had the best intro ever. But the entire show takes place within 7 years. I didn't realize that untill I wacthed "Beware The Creeper" which said the Joker's accident took place 7 years before.

Do you have the DVDs? I got them last year, after picking up the first 2 at my local Gamestop for $14 each, I then got the rest later. They are the crown of my DVD collection(A distant second is the RahXephon collection)

Mad Love was one of the best graphic novel in the Batman Library, it showed a different side of Harley, specially her origins

my favorite character is by far the Joker and they got the perfect voice actor too none other than Star wars own Mark Hamill.but i didnt like they way the Joker in the late 1997episodes.they should have stuck to the original drawings

It was made that way only so that Timm could make both shows easier. Plus they said, that many things gave them problems with the old style(The batmobile was hard to animate)
